The LibCommons consortium held its first project meeting on 26–27 June 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted by the University of Thessaly. Partners from UVIC, ULILLE, and RCISD gathered to revise results and align on the upcoming work.
Our two-day meeting featured presentations on the project's initial deliverables, engaging discussions on the role of libraries, and the development of key outputs including a collective open-access article, e-Handbook, policy briefs, and a course on educational commons and participatory methods. Partners also planned the agenda for the familiarisation and study visits.
The meeting fostered a strong collaborative spirit, setting a solid foundation for success. LibCommons aims to position libraries as vital social and democratic spaces in an era of growing challenges.
